MacroMedics® introduces OmniCouch™, a new generation radiotherapy treatment couchtop

MacroMedics®, the innovation leader in patient positioning solutions for radiation oncology, is proud to announce the release of the OmniCouch™, a new generation, integrated radiotherapy treatment couchtop solution during the upcoming ESTRO congress in Barcelona.
The OmniCouch is the latest addition to the MacroMedics Disease Specific Care Platform. It offers new innovative solutions in travel range, allowing patients to be positioned for the most common treatments in one table set-up. The OmniCouch is a one-piece couchtop that can be longitudinally shifted into 2 discrete positions by using a high-end, integrated mechanical bearing system, which offers an optimized travel range for various treatment areas. The OmniCouch is designed to accept easily attachable and light weight treatment accessories such as breast treatment modules and stereotactic head- and neck positioning systems, providing flexibility in patient treatment and efficiency between different patient set-ups.
The OmniCouch provides uniformity to the radiotherapy department by offering consistent patient set-up on CT, PET-CT and linear accelerator.
